Not only did our team amaze me but so did all the participants walking to support others. It made me realize something very important about this disease. When you hear that cancer affects so many people I always thought that meant so many people got the disease. But what I now realize is that so many people are moved to do extraordinary things for others because of cancer. This is an incredible gift and perhaps it is God’s way of connecting us to our humanity.”

THIS Saturday, the 20th, we will be hosting Oktoberbreast, a gathering to remember and to celebrate Jen, her vision – the GoJenGo Foundation, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Komen Race for the Cure. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, 4150 Yancey Rd, from 4-6 pm. Bring the whole family. Music, games, raffle, and more. Walking or not, join us!
