Join us for the 2nd annual “Detect, Discuss & Defeat Breast Cancer” event at Leatherman Lane on Saturday, September 17, 2022! Go Jen Go is the proud beneficiary of this event created by AmyMichele Jones and her amazing team at Leatherman Lane in Concord.
This event is like no other…trail rides, yoga, vendors, food trucks, entertainment, a raffle, and most importantly HerScan will be onsite performing breast ultrasounds for those that schedule an appointment.
- Trail Rides will take place at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm and require a $20 donation to participate.
Last year, this event helped 15 women who would have otherwise waited to check their breasts. The power of ultrasound can increase the detection of breast cancer from approximately 48% to 97%, particularly in women with dense breasts. Ultrasound screenings are capable of detecting cancers that cannot be found by mammography and physical exams alone and we were so happy to be able to bring HerScan to Leatherman Lane to offer this important service!
We are looking for donations for our raffle, corporate sponsors, vendors, performers, help from the media, and of course welcome any financial support to help us offer as many free and reduce costs scans as possible! Contact AmyMichele or Susan for more information about supporting this event!
